Wedding venue with a sea view on Lidingö
Högberga Gård was built in 1911 by the art patron Klas Fåhraeus as a home for his family and his art collection. The manor sits on Lidingö with a view over the Stockholm inlet. The ceremony can be held on the terrace or in a nearby church, and the toast is served on the terrace. Dinner, dancing and the bar follow, and guests can sleep in one of the 67 hotel rooms. What does a wedding at Högberga Gård cost?
The price depends on the package. Silver costs SEK 2,095 per person and includes a sparkling welcome drink, a three-course dinner, a wine package, coffee with 4 cl of liqueur, your own dining room, table setting, simple flower arrangements, staff and a room for dancing and the bar. Gold costs SEK 2,375 and adds champagne with strawberries, cake, a fruit platter and a late-night snack. Diamond costs SEK 2,795 and has champagne with canapés and ten hours of consultation with a party coordinator. From May to September the minimum is 70 guests on Fridays and 80 on Saturdays. A ceremony on the terrace costs SEK 8,000 for chairs and a red carpet, and a double room with breakfast costs from SEK 1,650 per room per night. All prices apply to 2026.

Getting here
Högberga Gård is on Lidingö. By car it takes about 15 minutes from Stockholm city, and there is free parking on site.
By public transport, take the metro to Ropsten and the Lidingö tram towards Gåshaga to Högberga station, then walk about 800 metres, about 30 minutes in total. By water, take the Waxholm boat from Strömkajen to Gåshaga brygga and then the Lidingö tram, about 45 minutes in total.

Wedding photography at Högberga Gård
As a wedding photographer I have shot several weddings at Högberga Gård, and I can say that the place offers wonderful light conditions throughout the day. The soft light reflected off the water creates a natural and warm feeling in the images, especially during the golden hour on the terrace. The garden, and the old stone wall give varied and beautiful backdrops without you having to leave the area.
I usually recommend that we do the portrait session during the cocktail hour, when the afternoon light falls beautifully over Lidingö. A photographer’s perspective on Högberga Gård
My name is Karin Lundin and I am a wedding photographer based in Stockholm. I have photographed weddings at Högberga Gård. What sets Högberga apart is the elevation. From the terrace you look out over Stockholms inlopp, the sea approach to Stockholm, and the light up there is something special. In summer it stays light for a long time, and the sunsets over the water produce images that look almost impossible.
Arriving by water makes the boat ride part of the story, and the anticipation builds all the way. My tip: take the first portrait session at the cliff edge with the sea behind you just before dinner, and a short second one as the sun goes down.

I often come back to Högberga for three reasons. The height gives a view over the Stockholm inlet, the scale holds up to 140 guests without feeling large, and the light over the water on a summer evening makes the portrait hour easy.
Getting there and staying over
Högberga has 67 rooms, so many of your guests can stay at the manor. My advice for international guests staying in town is a transfer bus before the ceremony and back at a set time late in the evening, so nobody has to sort out taxis.

Photography windows at Högberga
At midsummer the sun sets just after 10pm in Stockholm, and the warm light starts about an hour before. I take portraits in two short sessions, one before dinner and one 30 to 40 minutes before sunset, with time to move between the terrace, the garden and the cliff edge. For summer weddings a ceremony at 5 or 6pm leaves time for family photos before the light turns. In winter the dining room and the view become the main scene of the evening.
