Wedding photographer in Stockholm, working across Europe

EST 2006

Professional portrait of Karin Lundin, an award-winning wedding photographer based in Stockholm. Captured in natural light with a warm and approachable expression.

a Stockholm-based wedding photographer with nearly 20 years of experience. My background in sociology and commercial photography shaped how I work: I read the room, I anticipate moments, and I stay out of the way.
I do not direct your day. I support it, quietly, from the edges.
My approach is documentary and cinematic. I photograph what actually happens: the glance before the ceremony, the silence just before the music, the moments in between that you would otherwise forget. No staging, no posing, no interruptions.
I photograph weddings across Sweden and Europe, from grand celebrations at Stockholm’s finest venues to intimate destination weddings on the Amalfi Coast. If you want someone who lets you stay fully present on your wedding day, that is exactly what I do.

About me

I work as a wedding photographer in Stockholm with a documentary, cinematic approach. For me, wedding photography is not just about creating beautiful images. It is about preserving moments that cannot be repeated.

My background is in both sociology and commercial photography. I studied sociological analysis at Stockholm University and trained in advertising and magazine photography at Gamleby Fotoskola. Early in my career, I assisted fashion photographer Carl Bengtsson and later worked as a retoucher and studio manager for Wolfgang Kleinschmidt. My first jobs in press photography taught me to capture what happens in the moment, without directing.

As a wedding photographer in Stockholm, I have received several international recognitions, including Europe’s Best Wedding Photographer (Way Up North, 2020), Rising Star (Rangefinder, 2021), and a place among Sweden’s top five wedding photographers (Wezoree, 2024). I am also recommended by several of Sweden’s leading wedding coordinators and have spoken at Way Up North, one of Europe’s most influential wedding photography conferences.

I also work closely with videographers to create a complete visual story of your day, where still images and film complement each other. My style is understated, honest, and often quiet. As a wedding photographer Stockholm couples recommend to each other, I work with people who are looking for something more than just beautiful photos. They want to return to the feeling, not just the surface.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer?

As a popular wedding photographer Stockholm brides and grooms tend to book 12 to 18 months ahead, especially for weddings between May and September. If you have a specific date in mind, it is a good idea to reach out as early as possible.

How many hours do we need a photographer?

It depends on how much of the day you want documented. Some couples want everything from preparations to the last dance, while others prefer just the ceremony and portraits. Most book between 8 and 12 hours for a full story of the day.

Do you only photograph weddings in Stockholm?

As a wedding photographer Stockholm is my home base, but I photograph weddings across Sweden and sometimes abroad. For weddings outside Stockholm, travel and accommodation costs may apply.

How do you work during the wedding day?

I photograph weddings in a documentary style, which means I do not direct or stage moments. I capture what happens naturally. During portrait sessions, I may give light guidance if needed, but the focus is always on keeping things relaxed and authentic.

When and how are the photos delivered?

I deliver the images digitally in an online gallery within 8 to 10 weeks. You receive both high-resolution images for prints and web-optimized versions. A full wedding day typically results in 600 to 800 images.

How much does a wedding photographer in Stockholm cost?

A full wedding day with me starts from 5 000 EUR. The final price depends on the number of hours, travel, and whether you add extras like a second day session or an engagement shoot. I always put together a personal proposal after our first conversation, so you know exactly what is included.

Do you travel outside Sweden and what are the travel fees?

Yes. I photograph destination weddings across Europe, from the Amalfi Coast to the Greek islands. For weddings outside the Stockholm area, travel and accommodation costs are added to the photography fee. I always include these clearly in the proposal so there are no surprises.
