FAQ – Karin Lundin Wedding Photographer Stockholm

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before reaching out.

How much does a wedding photographer cost in Stockholm?

My pricing typically starts from 5,000 EUR for full-day wedding coverage. Every wedding is different, so the final investment depends on things like the scope of the celebration, whether it spans multiple days, and whether travel is involved. I take on a limited number of weddings each year to give each couple the attention they deserve.

What’s included in your wedding photography?

Every booking includes full-day documentary coverage, a personal planning meeting about a month before the wedding, a sneak peek delivered within one week, and a complete edited gallery delivered within eight weeks. I work alone, which means you get one consistent eye and presence throughout the day.

How far in advance should I book a wedding photographer?

Most of my couples book 12 to 18 months ahead, especially for summer dates in Sweden. I photograph 15 to 20 weddings per year, so popular months like June through September fill up early. If you have a date in mind, I’d recommend reaching out sooner rather than later.

What is documentary wedding photography?

Documentary wedding photography means I don’t direct or stage your day. I move through the room quietly, reading the energy and anticipating moments before they happen. My background in sociology shaped how I observe people, and the result is images that feel honest and cinematic rather than posed. You shouldn’t have to think about your photographer during the wedding. That’s my job.

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Yes. I’m based in Stockholm but work across Europe and beyond. I’ve photographed weddings in Norway, Greece, and throughout Scandinavia. For weddings outside Stockholm, I typically travel the day before so I arrive rested and ready.

How long does it take to get my wedding photos back?

You’ll receive a sneak peek within one week of the wedding, and the full edited gallery is delivered within eight weeks. I use Pictime for gallery delivery, which makes it easy to view, download, and share your images.

Do you work with wedding planners?

Absolutely. I work closely with all the major wedding planners in Sweden and I’m a preferred vendor for several of them. If you’re working with a planner, they’re welcome to reach out on your behalf. If you don’t have a planner, that’s completely fine too.

What happens at the planning meeting?

About a month before the wedding, we meet to go through the day together. I want to understand the flow, any family dynamics worth knowing, and what matters most to you. It’s not a formal meeting. It’s more like a conversation that helps me show up fully prepared so you can be fully present.

How many photos will I get?

It depends on the wedding, but most couples receive somewhere between 500 and 800 edited images. I don’t shoot to hit a number. I edit with intention, which means every image in your gallery is there because it adds something to the story of your day.

Do I need a second photographer?

For most weddings, I work alone, and many couples prefer it that way. One photographer means a consistent visual style, a calmer presence, and less distraction. But for larger celebrations or weddings with complex logistics, like parallel preparations in different locations, a second photographer can be a great addition. I have trusted colleagues I collaborate with when the day calls for it. If you’re working with a planner, we usually figure this out together during the planning stage.

What if it rains on our wedding day?

Some of my favourite images have been made in the rain. Overcast light is soft and beautiful, and rain adds atmosphere you can’t manufacture. I’ll never push you to stand outside in a downpour, but if you’re open to it, those tend to be the images that surprise you the most.

Can I get the raw or unedited files?

I don’t deliver unedited files. The editing process is a significant part of my work and shapes the final look and feel of your images. What you receive is a carefully curated, fully edited gallery that reflects my artistic vision and the story of your day.
